Jefferson Book Fund-Raiser
The Jefferson High School Parent, Teacher, Student  Association is volunteering on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25 and 26, at a Barnes & Noble Bookfair in the Lloyd Center, from noon to 5 p.m. on both days.
"Just tell the Barnes & Noble cashier that you are purchasing items to support Jefferson High School," says Annie Graves, PTSA coordinator of the event, "and a portion of all proceeds will be sent to Jefferson. We encourage Demo supporters to make purchases for their families and friends – and even to start their holiday shopping early.  We hope, too, that they buy books from the wish list compiled by Jefferson staff for the school library and classrooms."
The event is family friendly with Halloween arts and crafts, the opportunity to enjoy the Jefferson Dancers on DVD, student artwork and projects. There will also be drawings for free pumpkins.
To volunteer to help staff the Bookfair or for information, please e-mail Annie Graves at Mpvpaul @aol.com.
