On Thursday, June 25, starting at 2 p.m., all westbound traffic lanes on the Hawthorne Bridge will be closed for bridge repairs.

The westbound lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. Friday. During this work, crews will also set up a temporary westbound bicycle and pedestrian detour for the north (westbound) sidewalks starting from S.E. Grand Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard.

Please use caution while riding near the construction site. Use alternative routes and plan ahead for your commute.

This work is part of the Hawthorne Bridge Paving and Repair Project. For project information, visit https://multco.us/hawthornepaving.

Multnomah County maintains five Willamette River bridges: the Sellwood, Hawthorne, Morrison, Burnside and Broadway Bridges as well as the Wapato Bridge over the Multnomah Channel. For information, visit https://www.multco.us/bridges.
