Kobi Flowers of Jefferson High School has been crowned the 110th Rose Festival Queen. This coveted role, granted to one exceptional individual on the Rose Festival Court each year, recognizes Kobi's outstanding contributions to her school, her community, and her commitment to making a positive impact on the world around her.

Flowers has been active in her school community as member of the leadership team at Self Enhancement, Inc., Varsity Cheer Captain, student government secretary, a member of Jefferson’s Black Student Union and a past recipient of The Skanner Foundation scholarships. Being a role model for young Black women is one of her core values and she is proud to represent her community on the Rose Festival Court.

Flowers will attend Howard University this fall and study at the College of Medicine with a goal of becoming an anesthesiologist or pharmacist.

Queen Kobi and her Court rode on the Unitus Community Credit Union float for the Grand Floral Parade Saturday, June 8.
