Hearing on New Burnside Bridge Construction

The Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge Project team will present HB 3323 and 3301 this Thursday, March 23 from 5-6:30 p.m. The measures ask the Oregon Legislature to invest $300 million toward construction of the new Burnside Bridge. Many community leaders including Multnomah County Commissioner Susheela Jayapal, concerned citizens, emergency responders, contractors, iron workers and businesses are expected to publicly testify in support of the project – one of the largest earthquake resilience projects in the region.
