Sister Simone Campbell Visits Oregon

 Sister Simone Campbell visited Oregon last week to take part in several events including a conversation with Gov. John Kitzhaber and first Lady Cylvia Hayes about poverty, prosperity and economic justice. The executive director of Network, a National Catholic Social Justice Lobby, Sister Simone is a member of the community of the Sisters of Social Service who work nationally for social justice. She also met with faith leaders to share her personal journey of faith. That journey led to the “Nuns on the Bus” tour, which took the social justice conversation to 15 states and 40 cities.
