Multnomah County Elections reminds voters that today, Tuesday, Oct. 16 is the voter registration deadline for the Nov. 6 election.

Oregon voters can register online at www.oregonvotes.org. To register online, an eligible voter must have a valid Oregon driver's license, permit or ID card. The system allows new registrations, changes in address and party changes. Voters can also check their registration status at www.oregonvotes.org.

Voters without online access can obtain a registration card at one of the following locations: the Multnomah County Elections office (1040 SE Morrison St. in Portland), DMV offices, post offices and libraries.

Voters already registered do not have to re-register unless they move.

Deadlines to register on Oct. 16 are as follows: 5 p.m. at the Multnomah County Elections office, a USPS postmark of Oct. 16 for mail submission or online registration at www.oregonvotes.org by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 16.

Ballots for the Nov. 6 election will be mailed to voters on Oct. 19. Multnomah County voters who have questions should call Multnomah County Elections at 503-988-3720.
